November has seen the development of the ‘Catching the Light’ series of etchings planned for exhibiting in January 2022. The sketches for each have been worked and reworked and these are just a handful of the explorations. The series is based around a childhood fascination I held with streams of sunlight and the possibility that I might be able to ‘catch’ beams of sunlight. This body of work continues my exploration of environmental identity and familial connections. 

As we grow into adulthood the excitement and intrigue from the everyday seeps away yet the light is still there just as it was.
