I’m working extensively on a series of larger etchings – the “Catching the Light…” series which is taking up much of my time, however I continue to explore additional images and themes. I feel the need to put down my visual thoughts even if they are not something to work on at the present time – sketchbooks provide a wealth of information for future use. It’s fascinating to see continuing themes that have run over years and continue to fascinate. I use a range of mediums in the sketchbook including collage, inks, paint, graphite and oil pastels, often combined with monotype printing methods for additional texture.
