Suspended Memory

Collograph on Hahnemuhle

56.5cm x 78cm

Variable addition of 6

This large collograph is part of the body of work exploring Dorman’s Point in Devon which I first sketched in June 22. The initial landscape has been stretched and textured, cut and restructured. The memory of the headland is suspended both in my mind as well as physically here on the paper. The struts are deeply embossed and whilst fragmented, they support the imagery of the headland…or at least the memory of the headland. As our lives move forward we can find some memories are held out in isolation from others, and captured here in perpetual suspension.
