The sketchbook has been full of colour and energy this month. The shapes and flow are taken from the summer en plain air sketches of the SW coast. Using oil pastels, acrylics, collage and graphite sticks, the work has been swift and emotional.The blues and greens perhaps are drawn from the clear waters of summer swimming, but wherever they have arrived from, they are a welcome distraction from the autumnal windy weather outside.
